eOA (Excellence in Online Administration) Awards
In recognition of outstanding achievements in directing, managing and administering online programs, Pearson will award the Excellence in Online Administration Award, or eOA, at Pearson CiTE 2010. The eOA is an award that will be given to an educational administrator who demonstrates a significant commitment to quality in online education in the following ways.- Superior student and instructor support practices
- Development of high quality online education programs
- Promotion of online education to, and effective collaboration with, the traditional on-campus administrative environment
- Use of innovative tactics to further the development of the online education programs
eOT (Excellence in Online Teaching) Awards
Pearson also will be awarding the Excellence in Online Teaching Award, or eOT, at Pearson CiTE 2010. The eOT is an award given to instructors who demonstrate a significant commitment to quality in online teaching based on criteria developed by Pearson. The eOT is an award given to instructors who demonstrate a significant commitment to quality in online teaching in the following ways.- Creation of superior online content
- Development of highly engaging learning opportunities
- Formation of outstanding mentoring relationships with students
- Promotion of exceptional learner-learner collaboration
- Use of first-rate approaches to assessment
In addition to the above mentioned awards, several institutions will receive the Dennis Franz Partnership Award, which recognizes the colleges and universities that have been Educational Partners with Pearson eCollege for an entire decade.
